Mr. Kardauskas has served as a trusted advisor to major corporations, schools, law enforcement and government for over 30 years. Ed has held a senior position at one of the nation's largest security consulting firms where he managed enterprise level security consulting, security system design and construction projects at major corporate and critical infrastructure sites throughout North America. Ed served for 20 years with the 200 officer-strong White Plains, NY Police Department where he retired as a Captain and was acting Chief of Police.

Ed has deep experience with integrating risk analysis based security programs into an organization's business strategy for measurable return on investment. Ed has designed and managed complete security installation including locks, card access, CCTV, communications, fencing, gates, personnel security, and medical rescue systems for $42 million in new commercial real estate construction for a national corporation. He has worked extensively in threat, risk and vulnerability assessments, physical security strategy and system design, workplace violence prevention and response, criminal and non criminal investigations, critical incident management, business continuity planning, security officer program management, and coordination of private security operations with the services of public sector emergency response agencies. Ed has conducted threat/risk/vulnerability assessments and C-TPAT and TAPA certification reviews for major national and international companies and schools. Ed has served as corporate security manager and wrote all their security policies and procedures for a national publicly traded company. Ed was the senior project manager for a multimillion dollar project to integrate full security upgrades for a major utility company with 47 power plants and other critical infrastructure facilities and has managed a 24 site proprietary monitoring center project for a Canadian publicly traded international logistics company. Ed started and managed the national security communications center for a major corporation saving over $4M by eliminating redundancies.

Ed is an accomplished speaker and trainer who brings a wealth of real life experience and guidance on complex subjects like the prevention, deterrence, and response to active shooter incidents, managing security in houses of worship, and methods for deriving real return on investment from security officer programs. Mr. Kardauskas has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Manhattan College, is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, and was the 5th person to earn all 3 ASIS International board certifications in security: Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Physical Security Professional (PSP); Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) and is one of only about 50 security professionals worldwide who hold ASIS board certifications in all 3 practice areas. Ed is also certified in homeland security by the American College of Forensic Examiners (CHSIII), and as an anti-terrorism specialist by the Anti Terrorism Accreditation Board (CAS).
